Markets

Terms of Use

Jono lists prediction markets. A bet is a USDC stake in a shared pot. The house does not deposit money, and a stake stays locked until the market resolves.

How a bet pays

Until anyone stakes, the page shows the opening odds. After that, a side's chance is its share of the pot. If your side wins, you split the pot with everyone who picked it, after a 2% fee. That fee is taken only when the winning side and some other side both have money. One third of the fee goes to the market's creator. The rest goes to the treasury. If everyone is on the same side, if the winning side has no stake, or if the market is voided, every stake is refunded and no fee is taken.

Disputes

Jono resolves a market within 24 hours of its deadline and posts a timestamped snapshot of the data used. To dispute that resolution, sign in and post a comment on the market within 48 hours. The comment's first word must be Dispute. If the data source is unavailable at the deadline, the first available reading afterward is used. If the question cannot be resolved fairly, the market is voided and every stake is refunded.

Ideas

Anyone with a signed-in wallet can propose a market. Voting also requires a wallet that meets the activity check. An idea that reaches 150 votes is reviewed before it can go live. A graduated creator earns one third of that market's resolution fee in USDC when both sides have money. Fees from that market also buy Jono, which is airdropped to the creator once the idea graduates and the market resolves.

Privacy

Signing in stores your wallet address in a session cookie for about seven days. Votes, comments, and idea submissions are tied to that address. Rate limits use a hash of your IP address, not the raw address. Jono does not ask for a seed phrase, and the RPC key stays on the server.

These terms cover the markets on this site. Each market page also states the rule used to decide its outcome.
